Martin graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors degree from the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY in Business Administration. He continued his education with an MBA degree from Shorter University and an EDS degree in Coaching Pedagogy from Valdosta State University.

Coach Martin played football at the University of the Cumberlands, lettering for four years under Coach Chuck King from 2002 to 2006. His coaching career began as a graduate assistant offensive line coach at Shorter University before becoming the offensive line coach at Hardee High School in 2008. After 2 seasons as the offensive line coach at Hardee High, Martin was named the Head Football Coach at Hardee in 2010. He then made the move to Toombs County High School in 2016 as the defensive coordinator and strength coach. In 2023, Coach Martin was named the Head Football Coach at Toombs County High School.

Coach Martin has coached numerous players that have gone on to play at all levels of college football.

A native of Bartow, FL, Coach and his wife Ashley have three children Ava (16), Briley (12), and Bo (10).
